Ensuring a timely and cost-effective outcome
While the aim of a Dispute Board is to avoid and prevent disputes, where this isn’t possible matters can be referred to the Board for a decision that is binding under contract. Under most contractual rules this is a condition precedent, giving the right to take a dispute to international arbitration.
We understand the need to keep procedures as flexible, informal and as straightforward as possible during the decision-making process, whilst ensuring fairness. Our aim is always to achieve a decision whilst minimising legal complexity and costs. Many years of experience in the construction industry, combined with specialist knowledge and experience of international and particularly FIDIC contracts ensure that we’re ideally placed to help.
